- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Optional: If you want to add extra flavor to the chicken, sear the chicken breasts in olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In the crock pot, combine the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, stirring until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts into the crock pot, ensuring they are coated with the sauce mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crock pot, mixing it with the creamy sauce.
- Stir in the sour cream for added creaminess.
- Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley, if desired.
Notes
You can add vegetables into the crock pot for a one-pot meal and store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
