Description

A comforting dish that combines hearty flavors and is easy to prepare, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned, about 7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes with juice, cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  4. Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30–35 minutes, until the cabbage is tender.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm.

Notes

Pairs well with a salad or bread. For extra flavor, consider adding grated cheese on top before serving. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
