Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Decorate with frosting if desired.
