- 15 g brown sugar
- 10 g granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon double cream or heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 40 g plain flour (all-purpose flour)
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 30 g chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream the room temperature butter with both the brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the double cream and vanilla extract, stirring until well-combined.
- Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt, mixing until a cohesive dough forms.
- Gently fold in the dark chocolate chunks or chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Scoop or roll the chilled dough into a ball and place it onto the prepared tray, pressing a few extra chocolate pieces on top.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until the edges are set and the center remains soft.
- Let the cookie cool on the tray for 10-15 minutes before enjoying.
