Description

A delicious twist on traditional quesadillas with the flavors of a smashburger, perfect for lunch, dinner, or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • Optional: pickles, diced onions, burger sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Take a small handful of ground beef and press it onto one half of each tortilla, seasoning generously.
  3. Cook the beef side down for about 2 to 3 minutes until nicely browned.
  4. Carefully flip the tortilla, sprinkle cheese over the beef, fold the tortilla in half, and grill both sides until crispy and the cheese is melted.
  5. Slice into wedges and serve with your favorite burger toppings or a dipping sauce.

Notes

Serve with pickles, diced onions, and a burger sauce mix of mayo, ketchup, and mustard. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
