Description

A comforting casserole made with ground beef, egg noodles, and creamy sour cream, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, ground beef mixture, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure noodles are cooked al dente as they will continue cooking while baking. Consider adding spices for extra flavor.
