Description
Delightful bite-sized pinwheels filled with creamy spinach dip, perfect for parties or casual snacks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag frozen chopped spinach (10 oz) – thawed and drained
- 1 block cream cheese (8 oz) – softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 sheet puff pastry – thawed but still cold
- 1 egg – for brushing
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Squeeze and drain the thawed spinach, then mix into the bowl until smooth.
- On a floured surface, unroll the puff pastry and spread the spinach mixture evenly, leaving one long side empty. Roll tightly like a jelly roll.
- Wrap the rolled pastry in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the chilled log into half-inch rounds and place on a lined baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can experiment with different cheeses or add chopped sun-dried tomatoes.
