- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz ramen or lo mein noodles
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan and sear the chicken until golden brown (5-7 minutes), then remove and set aside.
- Add sesame oil to the pan, then sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and chili flakes or sriracha, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse.
- Return the chicken to the pan, add the noodles, and toss everything together until evenly coated in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Add a splash of water or soy sauce when reheating to keep moist.
