Description

Taco cups are a fun and easy way to enjoy the flavors of tacos in a bite-sized form using wonton wrappers, seasoned ground beef, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, diced tomatoes, lettuce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, stirring occasionally. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning to the cooked beef according to package instructions, usually adding water as well. Simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Grease a muffin tin lightly.
  5. Place a wonton wrapper in each muffin cup, pressing down gently to form a cup shape.
  6. Fill each wonton cup with the seasoned beef mixture, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until crispy and golden-brown, and cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving with optional toppings.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Customize toppings as per your preference.
