- 4 large sweet onions, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add the sliced onions to the mixture and toss to coat well.
- In a baking dish, layer the coated onion slices and sprinkle half of each type of cheese over the top.
- Add the remaining onion slices and finish with the remaining cheeses.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Choose sweet onions for the best flavor. Feel free to mix different cheeses and add other herbs like rosemary or parsley for extra flavor.
