Description

Ingredients

  • 4 large sweet onions, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the sliced onions to the mixture and toss to coat well.
  4. In a baking dish, layer the coated onion slices and sprinkle half of each type of cheese over the top.
  5. Add the remaining onion slices and finish with the remaining cheeses.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Choose sweet onions for the best flavor. Feel free to mix different cheeses and add other herbs like rosemary or parsley for extra flavor.
