Description

Rich and creamy hot chocolate made from scratch, customizable to your liking.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 350 ml Whole Milk
  • 500 ml Double Cream
  • 300 g Dark Chocolate
  • 4 tbsp Icing Sugar

Instructions

  1. Lightly whip 60% of your double cream until you have very soft peaks and set it aside in a cool place.
  2. Roughly chop the chocolate.
  3. In a saucepan, place the milk, icing sugar, and the remaining double cream. Gently warm over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped chocolate and reduce the heat to low.
  5. Stir for a couple of minutes until the chocolate has completely melted and mixed well, creating a hot chocolate with a glossy appearance.
  6. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top each with a spoon of the whipped cream.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Best served warm with toppings like chocolate shavings, marshmallows, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder. Pairs well with cookies or cake.
