- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the room temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
- Press your thumb into the center of each cookie to create an indent.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and center is soft.
- Allow to cool slightly before filling indents with caramel sauce.
- Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over filled cookies.
- Let set before serving.
