A simple and flavorful chicken taco meat recipe made with just three ingredients, perfect for busy weeknights.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/3 cup butter
Instructions
- Spray the inside of a small crock pot with cooking spray (optional).
- Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Slice the butter into pats and arrange them on top of the seasoned chicken.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on Low for 5-7 hours or High for 3-4 hours.
- Let the chicken rest, covered, for 30-45 minutes if time allows.
- Shred the chicken using two forks, then serve with taco shells and your favorite toppings.
Notes
For spicier taco meat, consider adding diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper. You can also include diced tomatoes or chicken broth for extra flavor.
