Description

A fresh and vibrant salad combining the sweetness of carrots with a delicious dressing, perfect as a side dish or light meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the grated carrots.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, honey or maple syrup, and chili flakes.
  3. Pour the dressing over the carrots and toss to combine.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and garnish with chopped green onions.
  5. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Use fresh, crisp carrots for the best texture. Adjust the sweetness by using more or less honey or maple syrup. Add other vegetables like bell peppers or cucumbers for extra crunch.
