Description
A versatile and delicious quiche perfect for holiday gatherings, combining creamy filling with your favorite ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
- 1 cup chopped cooked ham or cooked bacon
- 1 cup fresh spinach or other vegetables (like bell peppers or mushrooms)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or chives)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If using a frozen pie crust, let it thaw as per the package instructions. If making your own, roll it out and place it in a pie dish.
- In a skillet, sauté the vegetables over medium heat until tender. If using meat, ensure it’s already cooked and diced.
- In a large bowl, crack the eggs and whisk well. Pour in the heavy cream or milk and whisk until fully combined.
- Stir in the shredded cheese, cooked ham or bacon, sautéed vegetables, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Mix everything well.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Place the quiche in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
