Description

A versatile and delicious quiche perfect for holiday gatherings, combining creamy filling with your favorite ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
  • 1 cup chopped cooked ham or cooked bacon
  • 1 cup fresh spinach or other vegetables (like bell peppers or mushrooms)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or chives)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using a frozen pie crust, let it thaw as per the package instructions. If making your own, roll it out and place it in a pie dish.
  3. In a skillet, sauté the vegetables over medium heat until tender. If using meat, ensure it’s already cooked and diced.
  4. In a large bowl, crack the eggs and whisk well. Pour in the heavy cream or milk and whisk until fully combined.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese, cooked ham or bacon, sautéed vegetables, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Mix everything well.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  7. Place the quiche in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Quiche can be served warm, at room temperature, or chilled. Pairs well with salads and holiday drinks.
