Instructions

  1. Choose your apples, ideally a mix of Granny Smith, Gala, and Golden Delicious.
  2. Make the filling by zesting lemon peel and adding lemon juice to a skillet.
  3. Prepare the apples by peeling and slicing them into 1/8 inch pieces, coating with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  4. Heat the filling by adding sugars, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom to the skillet with the apples.
