Description
A festive bread shaped like a Christmas tree, filled with melted mozzarella and flavored with garlic, herbs, and butter, perfect for holiday gatherings.

- 13 ounces canned refrigerator pizza dough
- Parchment paper (for lining the baking sheet)
- 6–7 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 large egg (+ 1 tablespoon water for the egg wash)
- 3 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (divided)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh basil (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (grated)
- 1 jar marinara and/or pesto (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Open the canned pizza dough and cut it into approximately 30 equal squares.
- Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks into 30 bite-sized pieces.
- Take a square of dough, place a piece of mozzarella in the center, and fold the edges to form a ball, sealing all edges.
- Arrange the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree.
- Mix one large egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush the mixture over each dough ball.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 16-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, then stir in half of the grated parmesan cheese, garlic, and herbs.
- Once the bread is baked, brush the garlic herb butter mixture on top and sprinkle with the remaining parmesan cheese.
- Serve warm with marinara or pesto for dipping.
Notes
For a fun twist, try different cheeses or add spices to the butter mixture.
