Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter for the brownie batter, then stir in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt, stirring until smooth and lump-free.
- For the chocolate chip cookie dough, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until fluffy, then gradually mix in all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently to distribute evenly.
- Spread brownie batter evenly into the lined baking dish, then drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the batter.
- Gently press the cookie dough into the brownie batter and swirl slightly for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until edges are set and the center is slightly gooey.
- Cool completely in the dish before cutting into squares for serving.
