- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla.
- Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, mix together the topping sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar before serving. Enjoy warm!
Notes
For added flavor, serve with a pat of butter or a drizzle of icing. Store wrapped in plastic wrap at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
