Comforting French Onion Chicken Rice Bake

Description

A delightful dish that combines the rich flavors of French onion soup with tender chicken and fluffy rice, perfect for a weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or Swiss)
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the cooked rice, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Fold in half of the shredded cheese and half of the French fried onions into the mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and French fried onions on top.
  6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for longer storage.
