Description

Simple and flavorful green bean side dish made in the slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the green beans.
  2. In a crock pot, combine the green beans, onion, garlic, vegetable broth, and olive oil.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 240-360 minutes or on high for 120-180 minutes until the green beans are tender.
  5. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add lemon juice or red pepper flakes. Customize with other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers.
