Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce (if using). Stir to combine.
  5. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or butter.
  6. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the dish.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
  8. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and flour until smooth. Pour this mixture over the beef and cheese layers in the pie dish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
