Description

A crispy fried chicken sandwich with spicy jalapenos and sweet honey, perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 jalapenos, sliced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for topping

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 60 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting the excess drip off, and dredge it in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.
  5. Heat honey and jalapenos together in a small saucepan until warm.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns.
  7. Assemble the sandwiches by placing the fried chicken on the bun, drizzling with jalapeno honey, and adding lettuce and tomato. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, double dredge the chicken and adjust jalapenos for spice preference.
