Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cup blueberry jam
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, followed by the lemon zest.
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this to the wet mixture.
- Fold in the blueberry jam until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a variation, substitute blueberry jam with raspberry or strawberry jam. You can also add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
