- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1 package instant lemon pudding mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, lemon pudding mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and lemon zest. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and fresh lemon juice to create the glaze.
- Drizzle the lemon glaze over the cooled cake before serving.
Notes
Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for smoother mixing. For a stronger lemon flavor, consider adding more lemon zest or lemon extract.
