  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup lemon filling (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup crumb topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix the lemon cake mix with water and melted butter in a separate bowl until well combined.
  4. Spread the lemon filling in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour the cake batter over the lemon filling.
  6. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
