Description
Refreshing homemade lemonade that’s easy to make and perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh lemon slices (for garnish)
- Mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Juice the lemons: Start by rolling the lemons on a countertop to help release the juice. Cut them in half and use a juicer or your hands to extract 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- Mix sugar and water: In a large pitcher, combine the sugar with 1 cup of warm water. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Combine ingredients: Add the fresh lemon juice to the pitcher. Pour in the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir again to mix everything together.
- Taste and adjust: Taste your lemonade. If you prefer it sweeter, add a little more sugar. If it’s too strong, add more water.
- Chill and serve: Add ice cubes and stir well. Serve in glasses with fresh lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store the lemonade in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed pitcher for about 3-5 days.
