A delicious and cheesy dish combining Parmesan and mozzarella for a crispy outside and juicy inside.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix bread crumbs, half of the grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- In a second bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
- Place flour in a third bowl.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook coated chicken breasts for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- Mix remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and garlic, and sprinkle over the chicken.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for consistent cooking. For a lighter version, bake the chicken without frying it first.
