- 4 pieces chicken breasts (fresh, boneless, skinless)
- 1 cup chicken broth (low sodium recommended)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp oregano (dried)
- 1 tsp thyme (dried)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (to taste)
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)
- 2 tbsp butter (for enriching the sauce)
- Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Whisk together the chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pour the cream mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Scatter the chopped sun-dried tomatoes on top of the chicken.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 240–300 minutes or HIGH for 120–180 minutes.
- Stir in the butter 30 minutes before serving to enrich and thicken the sauce.
- Serve warm, sprinkled with fresh basil or parsley on top.
Notes
To store leftovers, cool to room temperature, transfer to an airtight container, and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
