Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)
- 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup water
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the milk and water.
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, add the pasta, salt, and Italian seasoning.
- Stir occasionally while cooking until the pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- In a separate skillet, heat the butter (or olive oil) over medium heat.
- Add in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- When the pasta is ready, lower the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Wait until the cheese is fully melted and combined.
- Adjust the seasonings to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or basil for an extra touch of flavor.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze for 1-2 months.
