Description

A delightful dish that combines creamy sauce with fresh flavors, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g pasta
  • 150g pancetta, diced (or turkey/chicken)
  • 1 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Heat some olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced pancetta and cook until crispy.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the peas and sauté for a few minutes until tender.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the sauce, mixing well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley on top for garnish.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a plant-based cream. Adding a splash of lemon juice enhances flavor.
