- 200g pasta
- 150g pancetta, diced (or turkey/chicken)
- 1 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Heat some olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced pancetta and cook until crispy.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the peas and sauté for a few minutes until tender.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the sauce, mixing well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley on top for garnish.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a plant-based cream. Adding a splash of lemon juice enhances flavor.
