- 1 loaf of bread (brioche or challah recommended)
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Butter for greasing the dish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
- Slice the loaf of bread into cubes and place half in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle fresh blueberries over the first layer of bread cubes.
- Add the remaining bread cubes on top of the blueberries.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and blueberries.
- Let the casserole sit for about 15 minutes to soak up the mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden and set.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.

This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
