Description

Deliciously soft and gooey red velvet cookies with white chocolate chunks, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
  4. Add the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until well blended.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Don’t overmix!
  6. Gently fold in the white chocolate chunks.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, try adding a pinch of espresso powder or nuts.
