An easy and delicious dessert that combines cheesecake and strawberries in a simple dump cake format, perfect for summer gatherings.

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced (or frozen strawberries)
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box yellow cake mix (or gluten-free cake mix)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (or coconut oil)
- 1 cup milk (or dairy-free milk)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar in a medium bowl and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Beat the softened cream cheese with 3/4 cup of sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Mix the yellow cake mix, melted butter, milk, and salt in a large bowl until just combined.
- Pour half of the cake batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the batter, then layer the strawberries on top.
- Finish with the remaining cake batter over the strawberries.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Cool for 10-15 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
Notes
Great served warm or at room temperature. Optional: add vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
