- 2 slices of bread
- 1 cup cooked brisket, shredded
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- BBQ sauce to taste
- Butter for grilling
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer shredded brisket and cheese on the non-buttered side.
- Drizzle BBQ sauce on top of the cheese.
- Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
- Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and grill the other side until the cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
Notes
Choose your favorite type of bread for extra flavor. Sourdough or whole grain can add a nice touch. Experiment with different cheeses like pepper jack for a spicy kick.
