A tasty twist on a classic appetizer, these Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs combine the creamy goodness of deviled eggs with the bold flavors of Cajun cooking.


Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half and remove the yolks.
  2. In a bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Fold in the chopped shrimp and green onions.
  4. Spoon or pipe the mixture back into the egg whites.
  5. Sprinkle with paprika for garnish.
  6. Chill before serving.

Notes

Be careful not to over-mash the yolks for a creamy texture. For extra kick, add more Cajun seasoning to taste.
