- 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the breadcrumbs with half of the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper in one dish.
- Beat the eggs and milk together until smooth in another dish.
- Place the flour in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, coating it well.
- Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the coated chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- Mix the remaining Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
- Top each piece of chicken with this cheese mixture.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a few hours before starting the recipe. Ensure your oil is hot enough before adding the chicken for a crispy crust.
