- 1 lb chicken breast
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1.5 tbsp garlic (freshly minced)
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz alfredo sauce
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup mozzarella (shredded)
- 16 oz pasta (e.g., Barilla penne or rotini)
- Parmesan (freshly grated)
- Parsley
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- Mince your fresh garlic and shred your mozzarella.
- Lightly grease your slow cooker. Add the chicken breast and sprinkle the seasoning blend over it.
- Add minced garlic, marinara sauce, alfredo sauce, and chicken broth. Stir everything well to coat the chicken.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
- Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks or cut into chunks. Return the chicken to the pot and stir in the shredded mozzarella.
- Meanwhile, boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta until al dente. Drain the pasta and add it to the slow cooker.
- Gently fold the pasta into the chicken and sauce mixture until coated.
- Give everything a final stir and serve topped with Parmesan and parsley.
Notes
For best results, use fresh ingredients and shred your own cheese for better melting. Adjust spice levels according to preference.
