Description

Juicy chicken thighs are cooked in a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce, perfect for satisfying sandwiches any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup of hot honey
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns for serving
  • Optional: pickles, coleslaw, or extra hot honey for topping

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the hot honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or high for 180-240 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks in the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.
  6. Serve the hot chicken on burger buns, adding pickles or coleslaw if desired.

Notes

For a spicier sandwich, add more hot sauce or fresh chopped peppers. You can also substitute the hot honey with regular honey and a splash of your favorite hot sauce for a milder version.
