A delicious combination of tender chicken pieces and flavorful noodles coated in a sweet and savory garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes (if using) well to form a flavorful sauce.
  2. Toss the bite-sized chicken pieces with cornstarch until they are evenly coated.
  3. Warm the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until hot.
  4. Add the coated chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and stir to coat all pieces. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to package instructions until tender. Drain and set aside.
  7. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the sticky chicken and toss well to mix.
  8. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds (if using) on top before serving hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
